Registrar
Anna started her musical journey on clarinet at age 10 at Moorooka State School. This was further developed at Brisbane State High School and University of Queensland where she grew a passion for music in concert bands, orchestras, chamber ensembles and choirs.
Anna also attended Education Queensland's prestigious MOST program in 2007, which set her up with many musical friendships across Australia.
Her introduction into community bands only started in 2013 with QWO.
Following this were adventures interstate that followed her medical studies in Adelaide, with Unley Concert Band and Onkaparinga City Concert Band, and regional Victoria with the Casterton Vice Regal Band. This introduced her to marching bands, and also gave the opportunity to branch out into further instruments and participate annually in the Australian National Band Championships. On return to Queensland, she finally gave brass a go on baritone with Bundaberg Municipal Band.
Now back in Brisbane, Anna joined the QBA committee in 2021 as general Committee Member and has been Registrar since 2024. She has played baritone with Windsor Brass; now playing clarinet with Northside Concert Orchestras and tuba with Bayside Brass.
Outside of band, she is learning ballet.
