Banding is deeply entrenched in Queensland's history.
Brass and Concert bands have played a major part in the history of Queensland and Australia, with many bands existing since the late 1800's and early 1900's. Musical styles have evolved significantly through these years, and many bands will showcase music from across the years.
The Queensland Band Association has existed for over one hundred years, supporting and developing banding and banding initiatives.
