2017 Queensland Band Championships Schedule


Please be advised that these times are APPROXIMATE. Spectators are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Saturday 23rd September

Parade of Bands

Bands will march along Redcliffe Parade and provide entertainment for the crowd with some fancy footwork in their own-choice evolution.

First band steps off at 8:30am and this event is over quickly - so grab a spot EARLY along this great strip of seaside!


After the march, head to the Redcliffe Cultural Centre for an audiovisual feast of music!

On stage Music - Test Piece and Sacred Item (Hymn)

Morning session commences at 9:30am.

Witness the vast talents of Junior Brass, C Grade Brass & D Grade Brass - all before lunch!

Afternoon session commences at 12:15pm

B Grade Brass, & A Grade Brass will certainly shine!

Then... 2017 brings a special treat - a Concert Band Festival to commence at 4:30pm 


 Sunday 24th September

On stage - Own Choice Test Piece and Stage March

Morning session starts at 9:00am

Junior Brass, C Grade Brass & D Grade Brass will entertain with their own choice music.

Announcement of Results will take place throughout the day, so don't miss those!

Afternoon session commences at 12:30pm

B Grade Brass & A Grade Brass will flex their creative muscle in this crowd-pleasing section of hot competition!

Announcements of both A & B Grades, along with special awards, will take place after the A Grade section.
